How the calculator works
Choose your location, home details and the upgrades you are planning. The tool applies typical installed-cost ranges and typical bill-saving percentages for each upgrade, adds the incentives that are currently available where you live, and shows an estimated rebate total, yearly savings, payback time and a 15-year savings chart.
What help exists in the UK in 2026?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 towards an air source or ground source heat pump in England and Wales, and your installer applies for it (gov.uk). Scotland has its own support through Home Energy Scotland. Solar owners can be paid for exported electricity under the Smart Export Guarantee, which is income rather than a grant. Help with insulation is mainly aimed at lower-income households and scheme dates have changed recently, so see gov.uk and your local council before you commit.
